How can I completely earase my hard drive and my OS?

If it's just the resolution u don't have to do all that. Turn off Your computer n turn it back on. Wait until you think it might start booting up n pull the plug. When u plug it back in n turn it on your computer should give u the option to start in safe mode,and you can change the settings for the resolution there!
