How should I plan my senior cl trip?

At my school we have never had a senior cl trip. Currently I am junior cl president. I live in South Carolina and attend a public high school, where most of the students are middle to lower cl. Should I plan the trip with the school meaning cooperating with their rules and technicalities or separate with a smaller group of students? Have you ever been apart of planning a cl trip? All advice appreciate.
