I'm in the process of writing my vows for a Marine Corps wedding...?
My husband is a United States Marine. We got married 2 years ago prior to his enlistment, but we didn't have a ceremony or reception, we just did the JP thing at the courthouse. Now that we have been married for 2 years, and are well on our feet, we've decided to have a real wedding, basically a renewal of our vows. I'm in the process of writing them right now, and I'm wondering if it would sound weird to have one of my promises saying, "I promise to be Always Faithful" (Semper Fidelis = Always Faithful), our ceremony is going to be a traditional Marine Corps wedding with the arch of swords and everything, but I don't know if it would be ok to say that in our vows. Any suggestions?
