Is it okay for a person to take up medicine even if he/she is hepatitis b positive?

Hi good day to all of you. I'm a nursing student and planning to take up medicine after I finished my nursing course. But I found out that I have hepatitis B. Will this be a hindrance for me to pursue my dream to become a doctor? I'm from the Philippines and want to work here. Please I need advices especially from the doctors.
