A place in japan. where and what is it called?

there is this place in japan i want to go to, but i dont now what its called, or where it is. its this place where its made to look like old japan. i first heard of it when i was watching kamikaze kitou jeanne. everyone wears kimonos, and sometimes some people put on an act like a thief or something.
