You're not going to find anyone to love you until you love yourself. It's time to leave your family in the past and move on to become a happy self-sufficient woman. You've got some work to do and you can't do it alone. Check with your local crisis centre for group meetings for abuse survivors. Tell your doctor what has happened in the past...they can offer help. Look for self-esteem courses offered through continuing education cles. Do you belong to a church? A church can offer various types of istance to people going through the exact same thing as you. Things will get better once you know how to leave things in the past and break away from your family. There are some really great people in this world...you just have to learn how to find them.
